Lidiya Konovalova, Chair of the ASU Student Trade Union, was honored with the "For Active Work" badge by the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of the Russian Federation.
This prestigious award was presented to her by Sergei Koshkin, Chairman of the Adyghe Republican Organization of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education, during a meeting of the organization's board today. The accolade recognizes Lidiya's longstanding achievements and her significant contributions to safeguarding students' rights. Previously, she received a letter of gratitude and a certificate of honor from the Trade Union of Education and Science Workers of the Russian Federation.
Lidiya Konovalova is a graduate of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology at Adyghe State University. She has been leading the student union since 2014. The organization supports students in resolving challenging situations and financial difficulties, while also creating opportunities for activists to realize their full potential.
Under Lidiya's leadership, students have consistently secured grants for projects at various levels, ranging from university-wide initiatives to district-wide programs. Notable examples include the Profstart Traveling School of Legal Literacy, the School of Legal Literacy of the Southern Federal District, and others. The union also facilitates spaces for student interaction and networking, organizing events such as discos, games, and guitar evenings.
