ASU graduate Roman Naguchev commented on the most high-profile football match in Adygea this year.

Match TV commentator Roman Naguchev shared on his social media that he's eagerly anticipating today's match at the republican stadium, where Maykop's Druzhba and Krasnoyarsk's Yenisey will meet as part of the Russian Cup Trophy Tour. His anticipation also harks back to his student days. 

"I'm going to Adygea with a very personal feeling... Honestly, I can't believe I'll be working a match on a national television station, literally four blocks from my rented apartment and a stone's throw from my beloved university. Heck, I played five seasons of the Adygea winter championship on a dirt field near the stadium, and I won the Rector's Cup three times in a row with the ASU Economics Department team there, on asphalt. I can name that team without hesitation, even after twenty or forty years." Perhaps none of you will understand, but I'm looking forward to this almost as much as the World Cup final. It's important to me. I'm home, " Roman wrote. 

As a reminder, the match will take place today at 7:30 PM. A fan festival will be held before the match. The program includes a concert featuring the band "Korni," photo ops with the Russian Cup, and autograph sessions with football stars Andrei Arshavin, Alexander Filimonov, and Ari.
