ASU Hosts Its Fourth Intensive Mathematics Course, 'Thirty with Mathematics,' Amid the Scenic Mountains of Adygea

The scientific and tourism intensive "Thirty with Mathematics" is coming to an end in Adygea. Twenty-eight students and teachers from Adygea, Krasnodar Krai, the Sirius federal territory, Rostov-on-Don, and Moscow are participating .

This is the fourth time the intensive course has been held at the initiative of Adyghe State University. It was organized by the ASU Caucasus Mathematics Center, Sirius University of Science and Technology, and the Khristofor Shaposhnikov Caucasian State Nature Biosphere Reserve. It includes three educational modules: mathematics classes in the foothills of Adygea, a "Thirty" hiking trail through the mountains to the sea, and an educational module at Sirius National Technical University.

The scientific director of the project is Alexey Savvateev, a leading researcher at the Caucasus Mathematical Center of ASU, professor at ASU and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, and corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences 

In addition to math classes, participants will also receive lectures on the geology of the Western Caucasus and learn about ecotourism firsthand from representatives of the Caucasus State Nature Biosphere Reserve, who are also participating in the hike.  

The head of the tourism section of the intensive course will once again be Honored Worker of Tourism of Russia, Deputy Chairman of the Adyghe Republican Organization of the All-Russian Trade Union of Education, Aliy Khatkov .  

The intensive course will end on July 11th .
