Adyghe State University Representatives Participate in Russian Culture Days in Morocco

A series of large-scale cultural events featuring a creative delegation from Adygea took place in the Kingdom of Morocco as part of the Days of Russian Culture from June 9 to 18. Residents and visitors to Rabat, Marrakesh, and Agadir were introduced to the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Adyghe (Circassian) people.

The delegation was led by Yuri Autlev, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Adygea.
Leading creative groups and performers from the republic participated in the concert program. According to the Russian Government's website, Morocco has traditionally been one of Russia's most important partners in Africa. Despite the current geopolitical situation, the dialogue between our countries continues to strengthen within the framework of the Statement on Enhanced Strategic Partnership adopted in 2016. Morocco traditionally ranks among Russia's leading partners in Africa in terms of trade turnover. For example, trade in products between the two countries is steadily growing. Russia is interested in increasing supplies in the sectors of industry, agriculture, transport, energy, and subsoil use. Furthermore, the partnership between Russian and Moroccan universities is developing successfully. In the 2024/25 academic year, over 4,000 Moroccan citizens were studying at Russian universities.
