Over 80 School Students from Adygea Participate in the Regional Jurisprudence Olympiad at ASU

The Regional Olympiad for Schoolchildren, "Young Lawyer," was held at the Institute of Law of Adyghe State University. The event was dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the Russian State Duma. Over 80 students from grades 9, 10, and 11 participated in the competition.

"Organizing the Olympiad has become a longstanding tradition at the Institute of Law. This year marks a significant milestone—our fifth Olympiad. We are pleased to observe a steady increase in participation: in 2022, 45 students from educational institutions in Maykop took part, and this year, students from all districts of the Republic of Adygea, as well as the cities of Maykop and Adygeysk, have joined us," the institute stated.

The event aimed to promote knowledge of parliamentary systems, foster analytical thinking, and support talented youth. The Olympiad transcends a mere knowledge assessment; it provides an opportunity for students to showcase their analytical skills, deepen their understanding of historical processes, and strengthen their connection to the nation's history.

The Olympiad tasks were divided into three sections: 

Part 1 comprised basic-level questions designed to assess knowledge of fundamental principles of parliamentarism; Parts 2 and 3 involved more complex tasks aimed at evaluating students' ability to analyze historical and legal texts, events, and processes.

"120 years ago, our country took a significant step toward the development of parliamentarism—the establishment of the State Duma. Today, as we commemorate this historic milestone, we reflect on the past to better understand the present and to shape the future," the organizers stated.

All participants will receive certificates of participation, while the winners and runners-up will be awarded diplomas in the specified format. Additionally, they will be eligible to earn three points for individual achievements when applying to ASU this year for the 40.03.01 Jurisprudence program. The results are scheduled to be announced on April 24.
