International students from Adyghe State University took part in an off-site event organized by the AROO "Knowledge" as part of the "Socio-Cultural Adaptation of Foreign Citizens: 'We Are in Russia'" project. The event was held in the village of Gaverdovsky, at the Center for Folk Arts and Crafts of the National Academy of Sciences.
Participants immersed themselves in the daily life and culture of the Adyghe people. Students attended master classes in gold embroidery, trimming, and rattle making. The international students also had the opportunity to sample national cuisine and take a boat ride.
According to the organizers, each participant took home a handmade souvenir in a traditional national style. The event received positive feedback and provided the students with an unforgettable experience of Adyghe culture.
Adyghe State University has been collaborating with the ARPO "Knowledge" for several years. During this time, events have been organized to integrate international students, including preventive talks aimed at preventing foreign citizens from becoming involved in criminal activities, as well as lectures on the history of the Great Patriotic War.
In the 2026–2027 academic year, there are plans to continue interaction between the organizations and to work toward actively involving foreign students in the educational and cultural life of the Republic of Adygea and Russia as a whole.
