It is worth noting that this year, the "Priority-2030" program is centered on achieving technological leadership as one of Russia's national development goals. Each participating university has included up to three strategic technological projects in its development program, planned for implementation by 2030, with a vision extending to 2036.
A distinctive feature of the current council was the new perspective that universities have adopted regarding their development programs. Universities are now focusing on specific projects aimed at fostering collaboration with the industry, as emphasized by Valery Falkov, the head of the Ministry of Education and Science.
-This is a serious challenge and an important stage for most universities. Each participant presented a specific technological project, through which we assessed the entirety of their work and the overall plan of the university for its development strategy. It is particularly gratifying to note that regional leaders and representatives of federal ministries attended to support their universities. The defense presentations from each participating university included top managers and heads of large partner companies. All of this underscores the growing significance of the program itself, as well as the role of universities in the country's economy,- the minister stated.
Based on the results of the selection process, the first group consists of 11 universities, each of which will receive approximately 1 billion rubles. The second group comprises 21 universities, each of which will receive 460 million rubles. The third group includes 68 universities, and each of them will receive up to 100 million rubles. These subsidies can be utilized to establish a system of incentive payments for faculty, develop university infrastructure, purchase high-tech equipment, attract world-class researchers, and organize scientific events.
As part of the program, Adyghe State University will launch a new strategic project titled "Digital Selection: Digital Assistant to the Breeder." This initiative is aimed at achieving the national goal of technological leadership in the area of food security. The implementation of this project will enable the creation of specialized digital solutions for storing, analyzing, and utilizing plant images, as well as for forecasting and designing highly effective crosses of agricultural crops based on the integration of phenomic and genomic data.
