Preparatory programs for ASU international students

Adyghe State University has been performing pre-university training for foreign citizens since 1992.

The aim of the program is to prepare foreign applicants for admission and studying within main educational programs in Russian at ASU as well as other Russian universities and colleges.

You will quickly and efficiently achieve the first certification level of Russian language proficiency, which provides the necessary basis for successful communication in the language environment.

About students
Every year about 200 students from 10 foreign countries successfully enter the Pre-University program of International department and study at the courses.

PROGRAMS

Today ASU implements pre-university education for foreign citizens. The International Faculty Preparatory Department conducts training in 5 profiles from the 1^st of September till 30^th of June (10 months).

Upon graduation from the Preparatory Department a state-issued certificate is issued. The certificate allows to enter all universities in Russian Federation. Most of the preparatory program is the course “Russian as a foreign language”. Other subjects are offered depending on the direction of the study in the accordance with the chosen specialty.

Tuition fees: 78500 rubles ( 2023/-2024  academic year).

Term of study: 10 months.

The “Russian as a foreign language” Department of the International Faculty has organized the following courses:

1. “Three-month Russian as a foreign language for foreign citizens”

 The purpose of the education program: to teach a foreign citizen to communicate with native speakers in certain situations such as social, educational and cultural spheres (А1). The course has been developed for foreigners taking in account their needs and quick and comfortable adaptation. At the end of the course, a certificate is issued.

The program volume: 360 academic hours, (including  188 classroom hours).

Tuition duration: 3 months.

Tuition form: full-time and part-time education using distance learning technologies.

Tuition fees: 25000 rubles.

2. “Intensive course on the Russian as a foreign language”.

The purpose of the education program: the program helps foreign citizens to achieve the language level necessary to pass the first certification level (B1 or TRKI 1) of the test “Russian as a foreign language”. The test is a necessary requirement for admission to Russian universities for Russian-language programs.. Upon completion of the training, students can use the Russian language in their professional field. They will be able to take the Russian language proficiency examination. Upon completion of the course a certificate is provided.

The program volume: 720 academic hours, (400 classroom hours).

Tuition duration: from 6 to 9 months.

Tuition form: full-time and part-time education using distance learning technologies.

Students of the faculty study the Russian language, as well as subjects in the chosen specialty: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Economics, Regional Studies and others.

Most of the one-year (classical academic program) is the Russian language course. Other subjects are offered depending on the orientation of training in accordance with the chosen specialty. Particular attention is paid to the study of the scientific style of speech as the basis of the specialty language.

Biomedical profile:

Humanitarian profile:

Russian Language, Literature, History, Social Studies.

INTENSIVE TRAINING COURSES

Short-term program (courses) to study Russian language. The period of study and the program workload are agreed individually on request.

• Russian as a foreign language (level A2)

Types of enrollment:

• Commercial contract
• Direction of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (scholarship of the Government of the Russian Federation)

Upon successful completion of the studies students get:

• State certificate
• Reference of the study period (for those students who do not have final assessment)
• ASU certificate (for short-term courses)

Necessary documents

• Original document or documents confirming  previous education level (school certificate of full secondary education, Bachelor/Master diplomas);

• Attachment with grades to the previous educational documents (student transcript);

• Legalization of documents confirming previous education level and attachment with grades;

• Copy of passport;

• Copy of visa;

• Medical certificate;

• Translations of educational documents certified by Russian notaries.
